Here’s what I’m doing here
I thought it would be helpful for me and you to outline an intention for this site. It is important to outline “the why” before you set out on any project, this website is a long-term project. I hope that this can also help me stay on track with the writing that I produce. So without further ado, here are the four points pillars of this blog.
Blogs are making a comeback. As the growing number of social media advertisements ruin our personal feeds, people are looking for new ways to hear from the people they enjoy and admire. I myself have been inspired by the old blogs of the past. In the near future I hope to make a post about blogs and content I enjoy. I have spent hours reading blogs that relate to the things I want to do or accomplish. It’s time to run from the character limit.
I want to use this platform to share adventures. In sharing my trips I hope to inspire others to take on their own challenging goals. Inspiration comes from everywhere, so you can’t rule out finding inspiration here. Might as well keep reading then. I hope to share adventure tales from the outside. I know I have experience in certain outdoor genres and want to share that with others. This blog will be directed to those who want to get out there in the wild. That is my audience.
Next I am planning on using this platform to help build my “brand”. Yes, brand is a cringy and overused word when speaking about image and social media, but I’m doing it anyway. I want to build an identity and career in the sport of running and outdoor adventures. I believe this blog is one step in helping me do that.
Lastly this blog will be used to ask questions and answer questions. So often now questions have been ignored. Asking questions is the soul of thought. Without questions dialogue is dead. People have become scared of asking difficult questions. I hope to ask insightful questions here and occasionally answer some questions. If you have questions, feel free to contact me using the hyperlinks at the bottom of this page.
So there you have it, just a little direction for this blog. Thank you for reading through this one. Happy Summer, I’ll be back on Friday.
